Beryl Nozedar is the Warkworth Natural Health Clairvoyant.
Beryl, a healthy 67 year old, was born in the North of England during the 2nd World War and was first introduced to herbalism by her father, who took her into the fields of Yorkshire and taught her about the medicinal value of weeds. He gave them to his prized birds. This kindled a passion within her which she furthered, when in her late 40's she attended college to study natural medicine.
She graduated at the age of 47 and opened a health shop, and practiced in the sleepy town of Wellsford in New Zealand. She worked there for several years but at the age of 52 she began travelling the world, learning more from the indigenous races about herbs. She travelled with a backpack and a pack of Tarot Cards which she used for her day-to-day needs, often not knowing where she would lay her head at night.
A story about the primitive Dogon tribe of West Africa enticed her to visit them. They are thought to have drawn the accurate elliptical orbits of three stars in their caves 3,000 years ago. Two of these stars are invisible to the naked eye. It was only at the end of the 20th century that scientists with powerful telescopes proved the Dogon's findings.
She did not find the caves, however, she did find herself a husband. A young Dogon King's son. She lived with him for three years in a small village. Sleeping on the roof of a mud hut, with no running water, no electricity in heat reaching 45 degrees C was like a zipper from heaven to hell. Her sadness was that this tribe were more interested in anti-biotics and painkillers than their own natural medicine knowledge.
In the harsh conditions Beryl lost so much weight that it was necessary for her to leave Africa every two months to return to civilization to regain her health. Contracting Malaria and Hepatitis made her so ill that eventually it was impossible for her to continue to live with the villagers.
Beryl, through many obstacles, eventually brought her Handsome Prince back to New Zealand to live with her, but he found it difficult to a adapt to the drastic change in culture, and their 7 year marriage terminated in divorce.
Her strong belief is that life is a kaleidoscope of experiences, of which we are the author, the actor, the director and the audience, and that we should PLAY WITH THE PLAY!
